I can’t remember the last time I’ve been as excited for a new up and coming band as I am for DVAS. I’ve been sold ever since their sweaty 2009 performance at Pop Montreal. The guys had Divan Orange at its capacity and kept the crowd so engaged that it felt as if the venue was transformed into a sauna.
The Toronto-based group, originally from Edmonton are hard at work on their upcoming LP Society due for release this Summer on Upper Class Recordings. Based on their previous releases the album looks promising and is one my most anticipated albums of the year.
Give Society’s title track a listen below, it has ‘10 Summer Anthem written all over it. Also stay tuned for their White Light Mix due out March 8th. In the meantime head over to their Myspace to give them some loving.
